The July 17th meeting of the Arlington Amateur Radio Club will be held at the usual time (1930L) and place (4333 Arlington Blvd).

We will be have a recap of the club's Field Day operations.

Minutes of the June 19, 2007 meeting.

Call to Order

President Jack/WA4FXX called the meeting to order at 1934L and welcomed all attendees. Introductions were made. Attending, besides FXX, were:

Minutes- Move to accept as posted- seconded/passed.

Treasurer's report- Mike/KG4RKL gave the treasurer's report.

ARRL Report

Dennis/W4PWF- very quiet. Will discuss regulation by bandwidth at board meeting. 3rd fri & sat of July. 20th and 21st

wa4fxx: anyone participate in exercises

Chuck- KI4DHW- can download "this week in amateur radio" show on internet- one or one point five hours

WA4FXX- localized power outages caused by tstorms, make sure your batteries are charged, frequencies are up to date

Old Business

wa4fxx- vaqp- submitted log, got certificate "5th high arlington"

w4art- w4art and n8ysz got certificate for 9th high mobile

w4art- 400th anniversary- maybe set up a station at arlington county fair in august

New Business

wa4fxx- iaru contest coming up on 14th july- phone and cw

manassas hamfest- wa4fxx went, first time we had rain in 40days. 20 organizer/vendors, 3 or 4 customers.

w4art- went later, very busy

wa4fxx- no card checkers for dxcc

wa4fxx- arrl has donated software (travelplus for repeaters sw)

web application- for ki4thl- liz- accept application- MSP

field day

wa4fxx has done propagation report for field day

wb4akk- one digital station is set up in shack now, got xlog installed on machine

wb4pwf- jack/wa4fxx and dan/n8ysz are designated as control operators for FD

nw3v- kickoff time will be exciting since we have to make our class

commissioner of the revenue ingrid morroy will visit at 2pm. will try to contact her uncle pz1ac(?) in suriname

n8ysz- where do we put antennas? [ some discussion ensued ]
