AI4QB- missed sign-ins, must be added

W4ART- moved to accept as amended, WA4FXX seconded, passed by acclamation

Treasurer's report- Mike/KG4RKL absent so deferred for later.

ARRL Report

Dennis/W4PWF- getting ready for board meeting- leaving tomorrow. have the documentation needed to submit the w4wvp field day results, will do it electronically from there. will probably discuss regulation by bandwidth, petition was withdrawn.

EmComm

WA4FXX: nothing in particular happening now

Chuck/ki4dhf- playing with d*star stuff, will have future. Lots of people were paying attention to KO1D posting on message board.

W4ART- will talk about that after the meeting.

Old Business

WA4FXX- Field Day, VA 400th anniversary, Arlington County Fair have not thought any more about 400th anniversary FD- 270-280 some contacts. 45 states. Generator worked fine. Wasn't loaded as much as usual. A lot of the loggers put down FL/NY/MA/etc- state instead of section. Wouldn't take 4U1WB. Other than that it worked well.

NW3V- maybe later we consider appropriating an amount as a donation.

AI4QB- have receipts forgot to bring them, will bring them next time.

WA4FXX- get the receipts together ad get them to Mike.

WA4FXX- what to give the log folks- $10 should be ok.

NW3V- Move to donate $10, W4ART second, passed by acclamation

WA4FXX- got a complaint about the kitchen, not sure what exactly, waiting for George/KR4MU to get the details. Believe we left it in good condition.

WA4FXX- antennas seemed to work well. perpendicular one worked well. maybe one more space.

AI4QB- power line noise was bad when it was here.

WA4FXX- headphones useful as always, a little short on "y" connectors, maybe need to get standardized

W4ART- heil noise cancelling ones are great if you're willing to spend the money

W4ART- went to stafford, built a stack on a rented crane- 60ft up on rohn 25 tower segment put mobile hf rig on picnic table nwith lots of radials and a screwdriver antenna also visited w3d in delaware, worked with national guard, got the governor to come out. gave them a 1296m contact. also, w4hsg- steve gilmore- guy at hro made 40/80 mobile antenna with loop outside of car.

ki4dhw- lots of fun, sucessful, got a lot done

kc5qcn- visited races mobile command center

ki4thm- first field day, was fun, surprised and happy at how many contacts I made

ai4go- glad that new folks got to make contacts. miles got to make one, Laura made a couple.

ki4dtp- down in alabama enjoying southern fried hospitality, took an HT but didn't make any contacts

nw3v- was great, dan/n8ysz had things together, we knew our class and had things going just from the start

ka8opj- enjoyed seeing dan's ft-817- went out and bought one- with g5rv under back porch railing.

ai4qb- enjoyed being here for the first time for a while, glad to see all the people here and helping

wb4akk- if there's a lot of power line noise we can call the power company and get them to come out and clean the power lines.

wa4fxx- should see if we can use the red cross' name to call dominion power

Wa4fxx- arlington county fair- there has been some interest, for some years we didn't have enough people to work it.

w4art- there was supposed to be a map left to show where tables would be- should be about the same place as last year. unless we try to remote control a station outside, or if the fair people would allow us to set up an outside station and do something about this for the 400th anniversary station [fair is 8/16-19/2007]

New Business

wa4fxx- the fall contest season coming up- what would people be interested in operating? cq ww rtty- end of september, JOTA in october, cq ww phone in october, ss phone in november.

ki4dtp- on the 4th the mobile command vehicle with amateur radio station was debuted. arlington center at 8550 arlington blvd will have ham station as well.

ki4dtp- we discussed build parties, such as power poles. solar charger, etc. ai4qb- going to place powerpole order, will send mail to list

Adjournment
